Privacy policy
Last updated 28 October 2026
This policy explains how Placid Group Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 22 695 488 674) (“Placid Group”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through placid.group and the Placid CRM platform. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you sign up, request a demo or contact us we collect your name, business name, email, phone number (if given), billing details (processed by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers) and anything you choose to tell us. We also keep basic server logs (IP address, browser and pages requested) for security and to stop spam, and product analytics inside the CRM (page views and shop events for sites you publish).
How we use it
We use your details to provide Placid CRM, bill subscriptions, support your workspace, improve the product and communicate about the service. We don’t sell your information. The public marketing site does not use advertising or tracking cookies; the CRM app uses only cookies needed to keep you signed in and to run the product.
Customer data in Placid CRM
Businesses that use Placid CRM control the customer data they store in their workspace. Each workspace is isolated from every other business. We process that data only to provide the service and as the business instructs. Where a business connects Stripe for shop or booking payments, payment data is handled by Stripe under Stripe’s privacy policy.
Storage and security
Data is hosted on DigitalOcean servers in Sydney, Australia, with encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and regular backups. Only authorised Placid Group staff can access systems, and only when needed to run the service. Some subprocessors (for example Stripe for payments and Resend for transactional email) may process limited data to deliver those features.
Overseas disclosure
Our primary hosting is in Australia. Some subprocessors (Stripe, Resend) may process data in other countries. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle personal information in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by calling 0417 303 532 or emailing simonjohnston123@gmail.com. We’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
