Terms of use

Last updated 28 October 2026

These terms apply to your use of placid.group and the Placid CRM service, provided by Placid Group Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 22 695 488 674) (“Placid Group”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

The service

Placid CRM is a multi-tenant software platform for Australian small businesses. It includes contacts and pipeline tools, a shared inbox, a website builder (Placid Sites), online bookings and an optional online shop. Features may improve over time; we will not remove a core paid feature without reasonable notice.

Plans, trial and billing

Plans are billed monthly in Australian dollars and include GST. Current introductory prices are 75% off the standard rates shown on placid.group. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. A card is required up front; you will not be charged until the trial ends. You can cancel anytime from billing settings before the trial ends and you will not be charged. After the trial, subscription fees renew monthly until you cancel. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds of paid periods are handled case-by-case under the Australian Consumer Law.

Your account

You’re responsible for keeping login details secure and for activity in your workspace. You choose which team members have access and what they can do. Shop payments and custom domains stay off until we approve them (usually within one business day).

Your data

The data you put into Placid CRM belongs to you. We handle it as described in our privacy policy. You can export or ask us for a copy of your workspace data. After cancellation we retain data for a short period so you can reactivate, then delete it on request or as required by law.

Payments through Stripe

Subscription fees for Placid CRM are charged by Placid Group through Stripe. If you turn on an online shop or take booking deposits, customer payments are processed via Stripe Connect on your connected Stripe account — you are the merchant of record for those charges, and Stripe’s terms also apply. Platform fees, if any, are disclosed in your workspace before you enable payments.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Placid CRM for anything unlawful, to send spam, to host malware, or to interfere with the service or other businesses’ workspaces. We may suspend a workspace that breaches this.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can’t be excluded. To the extent the law allows, our liability for anything else is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.

Hosting and availability

The service is hosted on DigitalOcean infrastructure in Sydney, Australia. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance will be notified where practical.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Courts of Queensland have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
